Section 6 : Landing in the New Forest
The pilot brought the balloon down at Furze Hill. A local resident
came out to see if we were alright as he thought we had crashed.
We waited whilst the support vehicle arrived to collect the balloon.
Then we started to pack up the balloon.
The gondola had skid runners underneath so that it could be dragged across the ground.
The canopy was folded into a long string then rolled up into a ball.
It was all then loaded onto the trailer of the support vehicle.
We were then served with champagne before being issued with our certificates.
We pose for a photograph before being driven back to the launch site to collect our cars.
